Renae, I think your presentation touched everyone and others I think of how hard you can lose someone at a young age,and what your friend Scott did was very wrong.

i am a student at WDC high school. and i just want you to know that your story was wonderfull, sad, and eye opening all at the same time. i have some-what of an idea of where you are coming from because my little cousin (Daniell) was shaken by her baby-sitter numerous times, the doctors told my aunt and uncle that the total time she was shaken for would be equivelent to a vicious 10 seconds on end... the doctors provided a visual aid w/ a doll. my aunt still tells me that seeing that doll shaken "still breaks her heart." but Daniell is competely normal; contrary to what the doctors thought. and in 2001 one of my friends was killed in a car accident, it was more or less bad luck/ timing, no alcohol was involved. so i just have to say thankyou so much for coming, i really enjoyed the program.

When i heard your story, i was in utter shock when you reached the horrid parts about your children. You are personally a very strong woman. May God always watch over you and your family and best of luck in the future

Renae,

You are such a strong woman. Your story has touched me deeply.I never usually cry but today, I did. It is truly sad, but I am glad that you have the will to carry on. I will think of you and your family for the rest of my life. Everyday, I will pray for best wishes and everything else for your family. I will also pray for Ben. I hope that everyone else you talk to and reach out to, will understand that no one deserves this. It is truly heartbreaking. Good luck in the future and come to Apollo High in St. Cloud anytime. Gods blessing to you.

Love always,
Angie N.

wow. that's a sad, sad, sad story! I know a baby boy named Kaden who was shaken by his babysitter. He was 5 months old and they told his parents he would never be able to talk, walk, or barely see. He is now 1 year old and is a very talkative little boy. I am so sorry about your daughter Emily. She sounded like a very, very special little girl. Your son was born the same month and day as me except he is 4 years younger then me. Your daughter was born the same year as me. Well yeah..just wanted to say hello and that was sad.

Renae..
Thank you for coming to Cathedral Hight School and speaking to us about such personal things in your life.
You were fun and moving at the same time.
You are an inspiring woman with so much love for God.
Tell your family hi.. you will always be in my prayers!
Thanks again for showing me, along with the rest of my school, what people are really on earth to do. You have had some rough turns to take.. only a strong woman like yourself could handle them!
Tell Ben I say hi.. and let him I'm blonde!
God Bless, Kate

i heard you speak and it truly touched me. I held back tears the whole time especially during the power point presentation. I admire you for having the courage to forgive the people that hurt you dearly. I just wanted to give you a hug. You are truly an inspiration from God.

Thank you sooo much for speaking at Minneota High School. I was very touched by your story! I cried through a lot of it.. along with my friends, and many others. It was absolutely amazing. As soon as I went home, I told my mom all about it. She said she wants to hear the speech sometime because it's something that everyone should hear. It could teach everyone a lesson. I know I've made some bad choices along the way, along with many others, but your speech inspired me to be a better person. Thanks again! =]]

Hey it was very nice to hear your speech at Minneota High School I am greatly sorry to hear about your loss and all of the hard times that you went through i cant say i know how you feel about losing a daughter but i do know how it feels to lose a very close loved one like that becasue when i was 5 years old and im now 17 i lost my mother and one of her close friends on a motorcycle accident also by a drunk driver my mom was killed on impact and her friend passed away on the way to the hospital which was only 2 city blocks away. Thank you for coming to my school and sharing your story because i dont think too many people realize how much drinking and driving actually happens.

Hey Renae. I want to thank you for coming to my school (Sibley East) to speak to the ninth grade today. It meant a lot to me. I was wondering if you could pray for me for a few reasons. My mom and dad were divorced when I was three because of my dad's alcoholism. The last time I was my dad was when I was seven. I am now fifteen, and I was told a year ago that my dad has lung cancer, due to his addiction to cigarettes. My dad has about a year to live, so as you can imagine, this is kind of a hard time for me. So I was just wondering if you could pray for strength for me.
I don't think I'll ever have the kind of courage that you have, to talk in front of so many people like you do. I am praying for you and your family.
God bless, Madison

Thanks for coming to gaylord && sharing your story to us! ive gone through so much in the past 6 years. i lost my parents an family && i live w/ my grandma. ive ran away && skipped skewl. all i had was my friends. ive had a pretty rough life just like you had. i wish i could tell people my life to complete strangers....i could never do it. In the past 4 years ive done like everything..(no drugs). ive never taken anyone so seriously until today. you made a huge difference in my life.

until today i havent cried about someone else in a long long time its always been something ive done whether its boy drama or pregnancy or just cuz i really dont have a family..which isnt so good.

i would like to thank you for changing my point of view on life! that my life isnt so bad, that its my choice to not talk to my parents/ family or even friends or to drink til i cant think bout wut im even doing.

thanks again!!
