Renae, Thank you for coming to share your story @ Supernight in Mason City. I couldn't believe all that you had gone through. The thing that spoke to me the most was about your friends. God has been speaking to me about how I need to talk to a couple of my friends that are heading down a dark path. Thanks once again for sharing. I pray God is able to keep working through you and your story. :)

Renae, I heard your story at YFC Supernight, and I want to thank you. I have a feeling it was very hard to give the story twice in a row, and not know if your audience took anything away from it. You said you enjoyed reading your comments, so here you are. May God bless you even more than he already has, your life has been a light to many in this dark world. Thank you for staying strong through it all.

Renae,

I heard your story in November 2009 at S-E Jr. High. It was a very good story. Even though it brought tears to me, it was so great what you had to say. It must be hard for you, to this day to speak about it all over. But I am glad you do, so people will take it seriously. An know the right things to do. An know what you have gone through. I enjoyed it your story a lot. I hope you and your family take care. Keep sharing your story Renae, because you were fantastic! Take care.

Thank you soo much for coming to Rosemount High School. It was honestly one of the coolest things that i have ever experienced. It really made me think about the way i live my life. I like your daughter have chosen to be pure and I think it is such a cool thing that your daughter did, I'm sure she is taking after you. I will be praying that your family is well and happy. You are a role model for being so open and forgiving to everyone that has hurt you. Thanks again for coming to our school.

You know, I walked into the assembly at RHS last Friday thinking that it was going to be really boring, but you really made these situations come to life. You are a great speaker and I don't say that to just anyone (I'm on the speech team so I can be really critical:D). Anyway, I didn't believe the juniors and seniors who told me it was a powerful presentation, but your words moved me to tears. I was amazed by how much you have been through and by your willingness to forgive those who hurt your family. Renae, I want to thank you for sharing your story, it's really given me a new perspective. I have a little brother and sister about Emily's age and just thinking about what happened to your daughter made me so depressed, I can't imagine what it must be like for you. I'm really glad that you've forgiven "Scott" and "Adelle" and that your cheerful personality still shows. Thanks again and God bless you.

I greatly appreciated your willingness to come talk to RHS this week, as i can see from this guestbook many of my fellow student also feel the same way. Your story was touching and i have thoughtabout your story repeatedly over the past few days. I wished i was up closer for your presentation but the large amount of 9tha and 10th graders in RHS caused me to sit in the back. I hope God shones his light on you so that you may continue to touch other peole hearts. God bless- Brandon Brist

Hello, Thank you for coming to Rosemount High School. When I heard your story I was really touched and sad for your loss. I have lost a loved one from a motorcycle accident not quite like yours but she was not suppose to not be riding and she went out anyway. She put her left leg down and flipped the bike. she was my aunt and someone that i could go to when i needed to talk. i really miss her and i love her every much.

I wanted to thank you Renae for coming to Foley High School yesterday and speaking. Me and a couple of my friends were crying. Two years ago this September, our community lost a junior girl in an automobile accident. Alcohol wasn't involved, but I bet a lot of that student's friends were moved by your presentation yesterday. I'm in Speech so I understand how difficult it can be to speak in front of a whole school, but it must be much, much worse to speak about the kind of thing that you did. Again thank you and I wish you well with future presentations. Keep doing what you do. YOu do an extradrodinary job.

Hi Renae, I just wanted to thank you again for speaking at Sibley East school and at the impact pannel in Gaylord. Your story had a big impact on me. After hearing it, I really thought about alcohol and about under-age drinking. I really thought about how one drink now can have an adverse affect on your life. I think it is amazing that after all you have gone through, you can still forgive. I wish I could be like you, and I wish you and your family all the best!

There is nothing more precious then family and to almost lose two members and be able to forgive is incredible. Your story was very moving and heart wrenching, I am a daycare provider in a small town also. I admire you for having the courage to speak about this and for your family sharing you with the rest of the world. When you said
that your son had abandonment issues to this day, my heart went out to you and your family for still sacrificing so you may speak your story to others. Thank you. Your story was in the NU journal below is the web site.

Hey,
I'm a Junior At Cambridge Isanti High School! Renae, your story is amazing, it's horrible to think of what happens to such good people. While i was listening to your story i couldn't help but cry because i feel your pain. I haven't lost anyone that close to me, but both sides of my family suffer from alcoholism and it scares me when they go and drink and drive! its such a dumb choice, it not only puts themselves in danger but also other innocent people like your husband and daughter. I am really sorry about what happened to your daughter, but shes in a better place. Also its amazing how well your son is doing! i'm so happy for you. Anyway i just wanted to thank you so very much for sharing your story! it has inspired me in many ways. i hope your family and you have an enjoyable thanksgiving and keep in touch!

It's like i didnt even know him anymore. Also your story inspired me with your strength and determination, i recently broke both my elbows and i always asked God why me, but i had to trust him and now he's blessed me workmans comp so i can bless my church with all the extra money im getting. I would like to say that your speech today was amazing. Your story brought back the memory of my Aunt who passed away 3 years ago last week, October 16th. She too was in a car accident and died after being ejected from the car from not wearing her seatbelt. Also, like in your story, she was only 1-2 miles away from her house like scott was. I couldn't hold back my tears from how similar these two crashes seemed and I know a lot of other people felt touched by your story. I can't imagine how hard it could have been to see your daughter there. I really hope you keep telling people of your story and would like to thank you for speaking with us today. I will never forget your story.

Wow. Never before have I been so emotional over something. I cannot believe all that you and your family has gone through. I went to school today thinking I had a quiz first period, but was immediately saddened by hearing your story. Drunk driving makes me so mad, for the driver is just thinking about themselves. It is amazing how much you let this rule your life - in a good way. You sharing your story to my friends and me really shows that you care. Thank you very much, Renae =]

Hello Renae,
Just today you came to my school (Apollo Senior High) here in St.Cloud and I had the opportunity to hear your story and I must say that I totally got the message you were trying to get across. I'm sure alot of other people did as well. I definately think you changed some people's views on those certain situations. It must have been hard walking up to see that your daughter had passed. For me the hardest part of your presentation was seeing your daughter in her casket. It reminded me of my grandpa who passed away this year in April. It's tough losing someone you love. Well just thought I would look at your website and sign your guestbook. Best wishes :]

You are an inspiration to me!! I loved your speech. it hit close to home and i needed a wake up call to my world. in my mind horrible things like that didn't happen to me. but seeing you, i know it can. you live through every day with grief and sorrow but manage to pull through and you are an amazing speaker and i wish you would keep doing that. we all need a wake up czll somedays. and i cried through the whole presentaion.

When you spoke at Crookston High School, i had managed to keep the tears away until the very end when you started the slide show and played Who Will Hold Her Hand". That really hit home when you can put a face to the girl you had been hearing about for almost an hour. Hearing you speek really affected how i see and think about others.
THANK YOU Renae!!!!!

Dear Renae

I just wanted to thank you for coming to our school (Crookston Highschool) and for how much you inspired me. I really appreciated what you did. I realize it must have been hard for you to talk about it. I know that it would be for me anyway. It was really a wake up call for, letting me know that I need to be more grateful for what I have, like family and friends. It was really a very touching and heartfelt story, and I am just so glad that you were able to come and speak at our school. I know everyone was. Thank you so much. God bless.

you talked at my school(Crookston High School) and I feel bad for what happened to your daughter and to your son. And the whole abuse thing and i kinda know what it is like to have that happen! And after that speach there were people talkin about a boy drowning in town and that was my brother. My mom said that it is hard to forgive the person that was watching him but in the end she knew it was right! It must have been hard for you to forgive your friends and I know that it is alot easier to forgive then it is to forget. I'm glad that you came to our school and shared your story. Me and my friend cried alot. It is hard

Renae I just wanted to tell you that you changed my life. Your presentation was awesome and sad at the same time. I cried like a baby when you told my school(Crookston) your story. If I were you I would not no how to get past those hard times. you must be so strong. even in the mist of your tragedies you can still make jokes. I wish I was as strong as you. When you played Emily’s "dash" I couldn’t hold back the tears she is so beautiful. Thank you so much for coming to my school. -Tamika

Hey Renae thank you so much for coming to Crookston High School yesterday. i'm one of the True Players who put on the skit and also a member of the minor league. i thought your story was so sad and it almost made me cry but its a really good story i think you are one of the best speakers i have ever heard that came to my school. you story had two great lessons in it 1st child abouse and then drunk driving and it being the day before prom and child abuse prevention day it was very good. and all of that happening in the same year must have been really hard i could never handle a year like that. and your daughter Emily being born just a week before i was is kinda scary but cool just to know she would've been my age. Well i thank you very much and hope that you changed alot of peoples lives!
